The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dênis de Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tostão Salles in the 3rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Three Lions FC's Jeferson Pombal got a free kick in the 4th minute. With an all-out effort, TRAKINAS FC's Dênis de Castro threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tostão Salles, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dênis de Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tostão Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A throw-in in the 18th minute of the game was made by Válter Terra with Giovanni Pirani as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Dênis de Castro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Waldir Peixoto in the 19th minute. After 20 minutes, Giovanni Pirani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TRAKINAS FC and the Three Lions FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th match minute, TRAKINAS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovanni Pirani to maneuver through the defense. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for TRAKINAS FC. 29 minutes into the match, Three Lions FC's Cafu de Moraes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Danilo Mello narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Cafu de Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Three Lions FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cafu de Moraes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danilo Mello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cafu de Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Danilo Mello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cafu de Moraes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Danilo Mello having to make a save. 35 minutes into the match, TRAKINAS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cafu de Moraes came free, but Danilo Mello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Waldir Peixoto hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. TRAKINAS FC's Danilo Mello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cafu de Moraes in the 37th minute of play. When Cafu de Moraes came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Three Lions FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cafu de Moraes couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, TRAKINAS FC's Danilo Mello got control of the ball when Cafu de Moraes tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to TRAKINAS FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Waldir Peixoto hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that George Pavard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Danilo Mello was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. In the 85th match minute, Three Lions FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabiano Silveira to maneuver through the defense. After 89 played minutes Three Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Ricardinho Pirani. Cafu de Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Mello having to interfere. Three Lions FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though TRAKINAS FC had controlled the match.
