Donato Prestes hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the game, Leonel Varela cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Murilo Paiva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 16th of the match, Artur Nunes tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Murilo Paiva got in the way and made a wonderful save. Curiphila Eagles's Murilo Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nando de Alcântara in the 18th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Curiphila Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Nando de Alcântara came free, but Murilo Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Leonel Varela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murilo Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nando de Alcântara received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Murilo Paiva came out and tried to block the shot, but Nando de Alcântara slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 32nd minute. Murilo Paiva came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Catugi FC's Leonel Varela. But to his dismay, Leonel Varela quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Sven-Edvin Skräddare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cacá de Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Leonel Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murilo Paiva having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Túlio de Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.
The supporters of Curiphila Eagles booed when Catugi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Campidelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donato Prestes made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 53rdth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Sven-Edvin Skräddare would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donato Prestes got free with Sven-Edvin Skräddare in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leonel Varela took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Murilo Paiva. Murilo Paiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Sven-Edvin Skräddare was a little too slow when Cacá de Almeida got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 5-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Nando de Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catugi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nando de Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Murilo Paiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th minute of the match, Donato Prestes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sven-Edvin Skräddare was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 79 minutes into the match, Curiphila Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei Carioca came free, but Murilo Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 81 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Henrique Félix. Claudinei Carioca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Murilo Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Murilo Paiva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonel Varela went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-2 was the resulting score.
