In the 13th minute of the match, Ismael Neiva tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Diamantino Catarinense saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 18 minutes, Edinson Gentenaar made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Guará FC's Diamantino Catarinense tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Kléberson Laguna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivo Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, Guará FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edinson Gentenaar came free, but Diamantino Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivo Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. Diamantino Catarinense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edinson Gentenaar's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Paulo Renato Marinho hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes Guará FC got a freekick which was hit by Gino do Vale.
