In the 5th minute Rony Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Oleg Semenov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Guará FC's Rômulo de Sena slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Júlio Tróia. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Luís Gustavo Gerber took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Júlio Tróia to make any attempt to save it. Luís Gustavo Gerber scored 3-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Júlio Tróia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Diamantino Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rony Lira in the 23rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Rony Lira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diamantino Catarinense was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Guará FC's Diamantino Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rony Lira in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Corumbaense F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ivo Figueiredo came free, but Júlio Tróia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guará FC's Diamantino Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 俞坤朗 in the 37th minute of play. Júlio Tróia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Gustavo Gerber in the 38th minute. Luís Gustavo Gerber could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Júlio Tróia made a huge save. In the 47th match minute, Corumbaense F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cacá de Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rony Lira to make the kick off. After 64 played minutes Corumbaense F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Claudinei Nunes. 4-2 became the score in the 71st minute when Rony Lira elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 76th minute, Guará FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rony Lira fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Rômulo de Sena charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rômulo de Sena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 77th minute, Rômulo de Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diamantino Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oleg Semenov in the 86th minute of play. Diamantino Catarinense was a little too slow when Abd al-Asis Aba-Even got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 4-3. Diamantino Catarinense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rony Lira in the 96th minute. The Guará FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
