Geraldo Abraão was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 18th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Mário Aparecido scored 3-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sydney Bittencourt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Breno da Cunha got free with Ismael Brito in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ismael Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Correia in the 28th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Pedro Cardoso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Carlos Eduardo Sanches mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nova Venécia-ES and the IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nova Venécia-ES's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Nova Venécia-ES getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Diego Botelho hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thiago Correia in the 91st minute of play forced Nova Venécia-ES's goalkeeper Ismael Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When João Vítor Vinhas fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s protests and gave João Vítor Vinhas a yellow card for diving instead. João Vítor Vinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Nova Venécia-ES had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
