After 11 played minutes Grêmio 20 Julho got a freekick which was hit by Emerson de Azevedo. An unexpectedly hard shot by 沈国明 in the 12th minute of play forced Grêmio 20 Julho's goalkeeper Jaime Odol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the MALZBIER defense, Marcelo Passos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Félix Mielle. The MALZBIER fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Félix Mielle should have stopped the shot. In the 22nd minute Jael Jardel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Félix Mielle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaime Odol didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Huang Yi Qian went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Jaime Odol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yuri Loureiro in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Mei Shi Hai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Félix Mielle was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dudu Penha during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 沈国明, 41 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Huang Yi Qian could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Jaime Odol made a huge save. Félix Mielle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mei Shi Hai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tony Hoffmann to strike the kick off in the second half. José Saraiva hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, Onurhan Aydoğan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jaime Odol. Grêmio 20 Julho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Onurhan Aydoğan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Jaime Odol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Huang Yi Qian in the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute Tony Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Odol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaime Odol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Huang Yi Qian, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
