Rui de Lima could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Abelardo Diniz made a huge save. After having played for 14 minutes, Rui de Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.C. Ferrari's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui de Lima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 25 minutes into the game, Tamboril's Valdomiro Garcia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sílvio Antunes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Abelardo Diniz made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Rui de Lima sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute, Valdomiro Garcia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tamboril fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. In the 40thth minute of the game Rui de Lima who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tamboril's Abelardo Diniz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ulisses Antunes scored 0-5 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sílvio Antunes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdomiro Garcia in the 46th minute of play forced S.C. Ferrari's goalkeeper Sílvio Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rui de Lima stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rui de Lima in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. The audience was convinced that Rui de Lima's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abelardo Diniz was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Flavinho Almeida hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the game, Tamboril's Ulisses Antunes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sílvio Antunes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. When the final whistle sounded Tamboril left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than S.C. Ferrari.
