The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, Buritama Sports was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breno Koehler to maneuver through the defense. 7 minutes into the game, Amauri Pernambucano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.C. Ferrari's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buritama Sports the free kick. A collision led to S.C. Ferrari getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Amauri Pernambucano hit a great ball. Sílvio Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breno Koehler in the 9th minute of the match. Diguinho Velloso kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After 14 played minutes Buritama Sports got a freekick which was hit by Aírton Veiga. 15 minutes into the game, Claudinei Mazza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.C. Ferrari's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buritama Sports the free kick. Claudinei Mazza kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th match minute, S.C. Ferrari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amauri Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. Sílvio Antunes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diguinho Velloso went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Rui de Lima took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Gilberto Paraense to make any attempt to save it. 24 minutes into the match, Alessandro Félix had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sílvio Antunes. S.C. Ferrari's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alessandro Félix was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breno Koehler in the 28th minute of play forced S.C. Ferrari's goalkeeper Sílvio Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudinei Mazza got his second yellow card in the match during the 29th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 29th minute, Claudinei Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute of the match Diguinho Velloso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sílvio Antunes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 46 minutes into the game, Diguinho Velloso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Sílvio Antunes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristóvão Valadares to strike the kick off in the second half. If Diguinho Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alfredo Paraibano fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.C. Ferrari's protests and gave Alfredo Paraibano a yellow card for diving instead. Alfredo Paraibano kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Alessandro Félix let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 56th minute shot 1-5 at rihgt post. Sílvio Antunes made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Breno Koehler sent off a good shot on target. In the 64th minute, Diguinho Velloso made a precise shot to the right of Sílvio Antunes. S.C. Ferrari's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Alessandro Félix took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for Sílvio Antunes to make any attempt to save it. Sílvio Antunes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diguinho Velloso went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-8 was the resulting score. A collision led to Buritama Sports getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Toninho Freitas hit a great ball. If Cristóvão Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diguinho Velloso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sílvio Antunes came out and tried to block the shot, but Diguinho Velloso slotted it home off the left post making it 1-9 in the 90th minute.
