The referee showed Cristián Pavon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cristián Pavon hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Vânderson Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haruna Hassan, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute of the match XV de Piracicaba got a corner. Lobo Guará's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wen Yong Sha ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on XV de Piracicaba's corner Wen Yong Sha fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vânderson Esteves quite easily take care of the ball. Vânderson Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Túlio Jacinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the match, XV de Piracicaba's goalkeeper Samuel Andrade had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustavo Mendonça. Vânderson Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Túlio Jacinto in the 14th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Gustavo Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, XV de Piracicaba's Wen Yong Sha seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Wen Yong Sha the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of XV de Piracicaba protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Wen Yong Sha had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Haruna Hassan in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vânderson Esteves saved Lobo Guará from getting behind. Samuel Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Mendonça in the 26th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haruna Hassan in the 28th minute of play forced Lobo Guará's goalkeeper Vânderson Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th match minute, Lobo Guará was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Renato Arce to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Túlio Jacinto made a precise shot to the right of Vânderson Esteves. Lobo Guará's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 39th minute, Lobo Guará's Miguel Monsalve ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Samuel Andrade. Samuel Andrade yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. When Haruna Hassan fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored XV de Piracicaba's protests and gave Haruna Hassan a yellow card for diving instead. After 41 played minutes XV de Piracicaba got a freekick which was hit by Haruna Hassan. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Haruna Hassan was the one to do the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Gustavo Mendonça notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of XV de Piracicaba's Samuel Andrade. Samuel Andrade was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristián Pavon hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Lobo Guará's Artur Branco was substituted for Gustavo Nunes. In the 65th match minute, Lobo Guará was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristián Pavon to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Haruna Hassan from long distance, 66 minutes into the match, got Vânderson Esteves's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a rather tough play, XV de Piracicaba's Andrew Tongson got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Haruna Hassan got free with Vânderson Esteves in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Lobo Guará's Vânderson Esteves got control of the ball when Haruna Hassan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Haruna Hassan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, Vânderson Esteves skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ruy Paes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Vânderson Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 86 played minutes Lobo Guará got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Mendonça. Lobo Guará's Miguel Monsalve got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Samuel Andrade came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Lobo Guará's Artur Branco. But to his dismay, Artur Branco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Lobo Guará were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of XV de Piracicaba for a fine match.
