Kaká Lopes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. If Tostão Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuel Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jenipapo SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luisão Silveira in the 19th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Haruna Hassan in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kaká Lopes saved Jenipapo SC from getting behind. Kaká Lopes made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Haruna Hassan sent off a good shot on target. Haruna Hassan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Kaká Lopes made a huge save. Kaká Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remo Goiano in the 32nd minute of the match. Jenipapo SC's Kaká Lopes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Jenipapo SC from getting a goal against them. Remo Goiano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kaká Lopes came out and tried to block the shot, but Remo Goiano slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 45th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Haruna Hassan to make the kick off. The supporters of XV de Piracicaba booed when Jenipapo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisão Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kaká Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Túlio Jacinto in the 51st minute of the match. Kaká Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haruna Hassan in the 54th minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Tostão Félix was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jenipapo SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave XV de Piracicaba the free kick. Tostão Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. A collision led to XV de Piracicaba getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Ruy Paes hit a great ball. In the 60th minute, Cristiano Marquez fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Samuel Andrade, passed just outside the right post. The Jenipapo SC fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Jenipapo SC's Leonardo Magalhães looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Samuel Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute Haruna Hassan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaká Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lauro Bertassi during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 70th match minute, Jenipapo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lauro Bertassi to maneuver through the defense. Remo Goiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaká Lopes having to interfere. If Remo Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Eriberto dos Santos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Samuel Andrade, 3-2. Percy Lopes hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After having played for 82 minutes, Wen Yong Sha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. XV de Piracicaba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wen Yong Sha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, XV de Piracicaba's Wen Yong Sha got a free kick in the 86th minute. Kaká Lopes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruy Paes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led XV de Piracicaba's Wen Yong Sha to fire away a dangerous shot which Kaká Lopes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. There was no doubt that XV de Piracicaba were the better team. XV de Piracicaba's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
