Filipe Santana hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Caetano Toscano put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Omar Telo. After the first half Barcellos Mineiro FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Caetano Toscano made the kick off in the second half. HollywooDogs's Barros Ramirez got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Mete Gøl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Waldir Peres was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. After having played for 96 minutes, Rick Cabezon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barcellos Mineiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rick Cabezon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
