In the 2nd minute, Pedro Paulo Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celsinho Neiva scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Gustavo Bueno, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ronaldão Vinhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Couto having to interfere. A collision led to SE Tijolo 6 Furos getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Régis Vides hit a great ball. In the 16th minute Elias Sarmento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 17 in the game by Celsinho Neiva from a close distance when the talented Luís Gustavo Bueno managed to make a qualified save. SE Tijolo 6 Furos's players were relieved. In the 21st minute Zé Roberto Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldão Vinhas in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Couto saved Grêmio Prudente from getting behind. Thiago Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Sarmento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Guto Lucas took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Luís Gustavo Bueno to make any attempt to save it. 34 minutes into the match, SE Tijolo 6 Furos's goalkeeper Luís Gustavo Bueno had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Celsinho Neiva. Valdo de Alcântara was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 36 minutes into the match. In the 36th match minute, SE Tijolo 6 Furos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdo de Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. Grêmio Prudente's Hermínio Cunha shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 37th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Luís Gustavo Bueno but with some difficulty. Grêmio Prudente's Mauro Mattos got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zico Goiano in the 44th minute of play forced Grêmio Prudente's goalkeeper Thiago Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thiago Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldão Vinhas in the 47th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zico Goiano made a kick off. Thiago Couto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zico Goiano in the 51st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Afonsinho de Amaral during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of SE Tijolo 6 Furos booed when Grêmio Prudente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonsinho de Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, SE Tijolo 6 Furos's Maurilio Moura got a free kick in the 65th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Grêmio Prudente's Hermínio Cunha tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celsinho Neiva in the 69th minute of play forced SE Tijolo 6 Furos's goalkeeper Luís Gustavo Bueno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zico Goiano got free with Thiago Couto in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thiago Couto had in the 75thth minute some difficulties stopping Zico Goiano's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball 75 minutes into the game, Zico Goiano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Thiago Couto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Afonsinho de Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Thiago Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldão Vinhas in the 79th minute of play. The supporters of Grêmio Prudente booed when SE Tijolo 6 Furos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Régis Vides didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hélder Tinoco hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Afonsinho de Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, SE Tijolo 6 Furos's Ronaldão Vinhas got a free kick in the 91st minute. The supporters of SE Tijolo 6 Furos booed when Grêmio Prudente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. SE Tijolo 6 Furos's Juarês Antunes got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Hermínio Cunha fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grêmio Prudente's protests and gave Hermínio Cunha a yellow card for diving instead. Grêmio Prudente's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
