In the 13th minute Nestor Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Lara in the 14th minute of the match. Bernardo Sousa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dênis Tande went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 20 played minutes WAU team got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Eduardo Alagoano. WAU team's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Válbson Azevedo scored to the left of an out of position Evandro Ortiz, making the score, 1-1. Horácio Abreu charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horácio Abreu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Horácio Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Murillo Viana sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and WAU team's Evandro Ortiz didn't even have to move. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cadu Team's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carlos Eduardo Alagoano was slow to take the kick. During this time WAU team's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Carlos Eduardo Alagoano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bernardo Sousa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Vágner Siqueira charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vágner Siqueira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After recieving a nice pass, Cadu Team's Murillo Viana tried to score from far away in the 33rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Vágner Siqueira got his second yellow card in the match during the 34th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 35th match minute, WAU team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vágner Siqueira to maneuver through the defense. Cadu Team's Bernardo Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dênis Tande in the 39th minute of play. The supporters of Cadu Team booed when WAU team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Vítor Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cadu Team's Bernardo Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dênis Tande in the 44th minute of play. Cacá de Amorim hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudinei de Alcântara was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, WAU team's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Alcântara came free, but Evandro Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 52nd minute, Kiko Capixaba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th match minute, WAU team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Guimarães to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute, Valério Paraense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Cadu Team's Valério Paraense got a free kick in the 64th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Bernardo Sousa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Cadu Team's zone, Nestor Lara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Sousa came out of the goal and Nestor Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute, Renato Barral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernardo Sousa made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Nestor Lara sent off a good shot on target. WAU team's Nestor Lara managed to work through Cadu Team's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Nestor Lara dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 84 minutes into the game, Dênis Tande was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. WAU team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cadu Team the free kick. After 84 played minutes WAU team got a freekick which was hit by Dênis Tande. In the 86th minute Válbson Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evandro Ortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute, WAU team's Dênis Tande dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. After 93 played minutes Cadu Team got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Alcântara. Bernardo Sousa made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Claudinei de Alcântara sent off a good shot on target. WAU team played a much better game than Cadu Team and deserved their victory. The Cadu Team players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
