Mário de Azevedo started the match with the kick off. Virgílio Cunha charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Virgílio Cunha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Jumentus Rock Club booed when S.E. Pindorama Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgílio Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute Jumentus Rock Club were awarded a corner. Luís Fabiano Leite went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Jumentus Rock Club getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Romeu Cerezo hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the game, Gualter Aparecido was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jumentus Rock Club the free kick. In the 17th match minute, S.E. Pindorama Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualter Aparecido to maneuver through the defense. Luís Fabiano Leite took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Júlio Schmidt. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 29th minute Romeu Cerezo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 34 played minutes S.E. Pindorama Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Aga Cuarto. In the 42nd minute, Romeu Cerezo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Júlio Schmidt was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Júlio Schmidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Carlos Zonta in the 45th minute of play.

Júlio Schmidt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Carlos Zonta, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Júlio Schmidt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Allan de Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by S.E. Pindorama Eagles's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luís Fabiano Leite was slow to take the kick. During this time Jumentus Rock Club's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of S.E. Pindorama Eagles's goalie and right to Cássio Carioca. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. João Carlos Britto hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Júlio Schmidt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Carlos Zonta, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Júlio Schmidt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Allan de Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute, Cacá Correia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Fabiano Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alan Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário de Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the final whistle sounded Jumentus Rock Club left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than S.E. Pindorama Eagles.
