Wilian Quadros started the match with the kick off. Júlio Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nando de Queiroz in the 9th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Motta in the 14th minute of play forced S.E. Pindorama Eagles's goalkeeper Júlio Schmidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Aga Cuarto quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Tiaguinho Hermes, made in the 20th minute of the game. Júlio Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Mello in the 24th minute of play. Wilian Quadros received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Júlio Schmidt came out and tried to block the shot, but Wilian Quadros slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 26th minute. 31 minutes into the match, S.E. Pindorama Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Emerson Motta came free, but Júlio Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of S.E. Pindorama Eagles booed when ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavinho de Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário de Azevedo in the 36th minute of play forced ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's goalkeeper Ulysses Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilian Quadros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Júlio Schmidt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. When Virgílio Rodrigues fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.E. Pindorama Eagles's protests and gave Virgílio Rodrigues a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd minute, one of S.E. Pindorama Eagles:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for S.E. Pindorama Eagles. S.E. Pindorama Eagles:s Júlio Schmidt showed great skill when he stopped Tiaguinho Hermes:s penalty. Júlio Schmidt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tiaguinho Hermes went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mário de Azevedo made a kick off. Júlio Schmidt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilian Quadros, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evaristo Mello in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Júlio Schmidt saved S.E. Pindorama Eagles from getting behind. Aga Cuarto charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aga Cuarto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 90th minute Wilian Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nando de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
