Joel Holm might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Júlio Schmidt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joel Holm ran back to his position shaking his head. Júlio Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaroslaw Kolbe in the 10th minute of play. If Jaroslaw Kolbe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the game, Fabinho Reis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.E. Pindorama Eagles the free kick. After 14 played minutes Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fabinho Reis. Júlio Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agostinho Maraschin in the 17th minute of play. After 24 played minutes S.E. Pindorama Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Aga Cuarto. Júlio Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Holm in the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s goalkeeper Wellington Fernandes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Júlio Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaroslaw Kolbe in the 31st minute of play. After 37 minutes, Joel Holm mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. and the S.E. Pindorama Eagles players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of S.E. Pindorama Eagles booed when Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Holm didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the match, S.E. Pindorama Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Jaroslaw Kolbe came free, but Júlio Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaroslaw Kolbe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Schmidt having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Virgílio Rodrigues during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 45th minute, Virgílio Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Joel Holm came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Holm couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mário de Azevedo made a kick off. Júlio Schmidt came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s Joel Holm. But to his dismay, Joel Holm quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 56th minute, Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s Jaroslaw Kolbe dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. In the 59th minute, Prudencio Pietro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wellington Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mário de Azevedo in the 60th minute of play. After 62 played minutes S.E. Pindorama Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Aga Cuarto. In the 65th minute, Mário de Azevedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wellington Fernandes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s zone, José Augusto Falcão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wellington Fernandes came out of the goal and José Augusto Falcão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute Jaroslaw Kolbe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Holm's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 75thth minute, Júlio Schmidt skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 76th minute, Gualter Aparecido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 77th minute by Agostinho Maraschin got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joel Holm got free with Júlio Schmidt in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Júlio Schmidt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaroslaw Kolbe, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 87 minutes in the game Basílio Brodel did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Fabinho Reis. Júlio Schmidt made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Agostinho Maraschin sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle sounded Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than S.E. Pindorama Eagles.
