With his leg Wellington Fernandes managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Mestre GG's Gildo Sá fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Chiquinho Sergipano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Fernandes having to interfere. Benjamim Medeiross short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Wellington Fernandes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 19 minutes into the match, Agostinho Maraschin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francisco do Vale. Mestre GG's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Agostinho Maraschin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Benjamim Medeiros who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Wellington Fernandes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s Alfredinho Faria got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After 24 minutes of play, Mestre GG's Chiquinho Sergipano made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wellington Fernandes was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s Wellington Fernandes got control of the ball when Gildo Sá tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th minute, Agostinho Maraschin made a precise shot to the right of Francisco do Vale. Mestre GG's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Wellington Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chiquinho Sergipano in the 38th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s goalkeeper Wellington Fernandes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benjamim Medeiros. Gildo Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Wellington Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Mestre GG players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. were winning 1-2.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamim Medeiros in the 56th minute of play forced Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s goalkeeper Wellington Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wellington Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chiquinho Sergipano, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After 60 minutes, Prudencio Pietro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. and the Mestre GG players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. booed when Mestre GG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Paulo Vander was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 65 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, one of Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.. Wellington Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamim Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Wellington Fernandes came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Mestre GG's Chiquinho Sergipano. But to his dismay, Chiquinho Sergipano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dé Paiva in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wellington Fernandes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chiquinho Sergipano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Wellington Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Chiquinho Sergipano came free, but Wellington Fernandes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 92 minutes, Zeca Donatello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mestre GG and the Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 92 played minutes Mestre GG got a freekick which was hit by Zeca Donatello. Francisco do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agostinho Maraschin in the 98th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
