Serafim Simão might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dráuzio Borges. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Serafim Simão ran back to his position shaking his head. 7 minutes into the game, Víktor Vergílio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dráuzio Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafim Simão in the 17th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Roch Huchro notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Palestra do Interior's Antônio Carlos Cavalcante. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustavo Baião during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Palestra do Interior's Dedé Mazer got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 92 minutes into the match, Serafim Simão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dráuzio Borges. Bandelocos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Serafim Simão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. Bandelocos's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
