Petrus Catarinense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Carlos Augusto Recife made a huge save. Geovânio de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Seterma Tractors's Carlos Augusto Recife threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vitinho Maciel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Pedro Čech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tião Tróia, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caio Boldrini got free with Pedro Čech in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 54th match minute, Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tião Tróia to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Augusto Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dochko Igov in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Palmeiras's Amadeo Tuste ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedro Čech. Pedro Čech yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Pedro Čech was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Adriano Cunha showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 64 minute of play.
