The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Teodoro Diniz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Seterma Tractors's goalkeeper Pedro Čech had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edson Meira. Vladimir Lima charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vladimir Lima the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Seterma Tractors booed when Bandelocos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimir Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, Xie Cheng Ao got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 24 minutes into the game, Petrus Catarinense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dráuzio Borges was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Seterma Tractors's Pedro Čech proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Seterma Tractors from getting a goal against them. 28 minutes into the match, Teodoro Diniz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Čech. Seterma Tractors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teodoro Diniz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Víktor Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Pedro Čech tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Čech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Diniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teodoro Diniz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pedro Čech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Diniz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Bandelocos getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Evaristo Falcão hit a great ball. Seterma Tractors's Pedro Čech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edson Meira in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute Teodoro Diniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Čech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Petrus Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Víktor Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio Fernandes in the 72nd minute of play forced Bandelocos's goalkeeper Dráuzio Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Seterma Tractors's Pedro Čech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar da Costa in the 74th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Seterma Tractors's goal looked a bit too open when Víktor Vergílio came free, but Pedro Čech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 87 minutes, Teodoro Diniz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bandelocos and the Seterma Tractors players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 87 played minutes Bandelocos got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Diniz. A collision led to Bandelocos getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Vladimir Lima hit a great ball. In the 95th minute, Renato Dionísio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Seterma Tractors were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
