Benicio Galvan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Gery Pattimura made a huge save. Yuri Galvan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Garro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Torino SSA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Egon Boberg was slow to take the kick. During this time Coritiba Foot Ball Club's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Egon Boberg got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Yuri Galvan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gery Pattimura made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ediberto Palmeira in the 11th minute. Rodrigo Garro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuri Galvan having to interfere. Gery Pattimura made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Benicio Galvan sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute, Benicio Galvan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute of the match, Jeff Waters tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gery Pattimura saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Yuri Galvan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wang Chen in the 29th minute of the match. The supporters of Coritiba Foot Ball Club booed when Torino SSA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adalberto Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Torino SSA getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Kent Anundsson hit a great ball. When Kent Anundsson fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Torino SSA's protests and gave Kent Anundsson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd minute, Kent Anundsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Egon Boberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Coritiba Foot Ball Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Coritiba Foot Ball Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
