Spectators: 175 (Terracing: 132, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Luiz Fabiano Leão made the kick off which started today's match. After a rather tough play, Galo do Japi's Cícero Montenegro got a free kick in the 2nd minute. The throw-in from Luís Guilherme Rosa in the 4th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Galo do Japi's Laerte Caca-Rato. Jeferson Nóbrega hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. The supporters of Joinville City - FSCMZ booed when Galo do Japi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Cannavaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 33 minutes, Nilson da Rocha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Joinville City - FSCMZ and the Galo do Japi players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nilson da Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Edmundo Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Joinvilense in the 35th minute of play. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Paulo Medeiros got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Nilson da Rocha got his second yellow card of the match in the 45th minute. The referee ordered Nilson da Rocha off the ground. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jeferson Nóbrega stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edmundo Falcão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernandinho Pinheiro in the 78th minute of play. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Ronaldo Joinvilense sped through Joinville City - FSCMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edmundo Falcão. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeferson Nóbrega in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmundo Falcão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 95thth minute of the game Ronaldo Joinvilense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Joinville City - FSCMZ's Edmundo Falcão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Galo do Japi's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
