The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The supporters of ⚜️ Inter de Meião MzC booed when Jovens Democratas MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Dracena didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Aybars Tuygun came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the ⚜️ Inter de Meião MzC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aybars Tuygun couldn't finish the play. After the first half Jovens Democratas MZC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erasmo de Godoi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Giuseppe Negri came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Jovens Democratas MZC fans jumped to their feet. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 70 played minutes ⚜️ Inter de Meião MzC got a freekick which was hit by Jerônimo Santos. A long shot from Gilson Barros in the 72nd minute of play was well struck, but Gilmar Severo made a really good save at the right post. Gilson Barros was slow to take the kick. During this time Jovens Democratas MZC's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of ⚜️ Inter de Meião MzC's goalie and right to Giuseppe Negri. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. ⚜️ Inter de Meião MzC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. ⚜️ Inter de Meião MzC's Gilmar Severo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save ⚜️ Inter de Meião MzC from getting a goal against them. In the 78th minute, Jovens Democratas MZC's Jeremias Britto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gilmar Severo. Gilmar Severo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Jovens Democratas MZC's Erasmo de Godoi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gilmar Severo. That made the score 0-4 after 80 minutes of play. Jovens Democratas MZC made a substitution. Luís Paulo Domingues replaced Charles Eger. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeremias Britto got free with Gilmar Severo in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 89th minute Abel Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilmar Severo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Durval Brito during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, ⚜️ Inter de Meião MzC's Durval Brito got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 94th match minute, ⚜️ Inter de Meião MzC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmir Rosa to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in ⚜️ Inter de Meião MzC's zone, Luís Paulo Domingues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilmar Severo came out of the goal and Luís Paulo Domingues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The ⚜️ Inter de Meião MzC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Jovens Democratas MZC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
