The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristiano Baptista during the 3rd minute. The Joinville City - FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edmundo Falcão should have stopped the shot. Cristóvão de Barros hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jeff Waters to make the kick off. Emerson Bueno hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After 85 played minutes Joinville City - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fabiano Leão. Edmundo Falcão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Barbosa in the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st match minute, Joinville City - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Baptista to maneuver through the defense. The Joinville City - FSCMZ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Torino SSA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
