Spectators: 175 (Terracing: 132, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ronaldo Joinvilense started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Cláudio Silveira got a free kick in the 2nd minute. A collision led to Coritiba Foot Ball Club getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Wang Chen hit a great ball. João Souto hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. The supporters of Coritiba Foot Ball Club booed when Galo do Japi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cícero Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Galo do Japi's goal looked a bit too open when Cláudio Silveira came free, but Armando Sabino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armando Sabino was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Rodrigo Garro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rodrigo Garro really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Gery Pattimura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernandinho Pinheiro in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeferson Nóbrega in the 25th minute of play forced Coritiba Foot Ball Club's goalkeeper Gery Pattimura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute Fernandinho Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gery Pattimura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, 胡亦旭 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wang Chen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Sabino having to interfere. Jeferson Nóbrega took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gery Pattimura. Gery Pattimura dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 39th minute Jeferson Nóbrega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gery Pattimura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gery Pattimura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Joinvilense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 胡亦旭 to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes Galo do Japi's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cláudio Silveira who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Léo Nascimento heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Gery Pattimura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandinho Pinheiro in the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th minute Wang Chen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Sabino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the game, Galo do Japi's Fernandinho Pinheiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gery Pattimura made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Gery Pattimura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gene Simons in the 63rd minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Rodrigo Garro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Armando Sabino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Wang Chen charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wang Chen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 69th minute, Wang Chen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Galo do Japi made a substitution. Paul Stanley replaced Ronaldo Joinvilense. With a little luck, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Gery Pattimura got control of the ball when Jeferson Nóbrega tried to sneak it across the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's goal looked a bit too open when Gene Simons came free, but Gery Pattimura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
