It was Ardwyad Vulcan who took care of the corner kick. Robert Bambas hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Percy Cearense took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Melquiades Amor. Melquiades Amor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Arí Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Quadros having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goal looked a bit too open when Percy Cearense came free, but Melquiades Amor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Percy Cearense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute Fabiano de Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Amor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sílvio Dantass short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Wilson Quadros to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cícero da Costa to make the kick off. After having played for 50 minutes, Arí Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arí Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 54th play minutes Sílvio Dantas shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Wilson Quadros and just under the crossbar into goal. Melquiades Amor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luiz Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. With a little luck, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Melquiades Amor got control of the ball when Murilo Leão tried to sneak it across the goal line. BRASIL.Sp made a substitution. Leonel Vaz replaced André Luiz Prado. Melquiades Amor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonel Vaz's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Sílvio Dantas kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Vaz came free, but Melquiades Amor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 85 played minutes BRASIL.Sp got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Andrade. 88 minutes into the game, Cícero da Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BRASIL.Sp the free kick. The supporters of BRASIL.Sp booed when CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cícero da Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabiano de Medeiros who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Melquiades Amor when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 93rd minute Leonel Vaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Amor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
