The Capibaribe Stars fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nico Penha should have stopped the shot. After having played for 11 minutes, Tadeu da Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capibaribe Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeu da Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eliézer da Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Eliézer da Silveira scored 0-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nico Penha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nico Penha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fellipe da Silva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeu da Silveira in the 51st minute of play forced Castanheiro SC's goalkeeper Pedrinho Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Capibaribe Stars's Nico Penha got control of the ball when Eliézer da Silveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedrinho Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tadeu da Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nico Penha was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Leonardo Trancoso showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 60 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Trancoso in the 64th minute of play forced Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Nico Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heintje Catarinense kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Capibaribe Stars's Nico Penha got control of the ball when Fellipe da Silva tried to sneak it across the goal line. Castanheiro SC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
