The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vladimiro Pirro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Venancio Mergildo, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Aldo Eufemio charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aldo Eufemio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aldo Eufemio kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Rosendo Aballe kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Venancio Mergildo took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vladimiro Pirro. Vladimiro Pirro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Evaristo Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Belgrano de Pibasog were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Real Academia Serengetti's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Saverio Baumar took the corner. The corner led to Belgrano de Pibasog's Raul Bibiano getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Gabriel Guib received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Andres Ignatius came out and tried to block the shot, but Gabriel Guib slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 23rd minute. In the 33rdth minute of the game Evaristo Azevedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Academia Serengetti's Vladimiro Pirro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Yan Chong Yue had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvano Grabiel hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Yan Chong Yue sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Vladimiro Pirro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Bibiano in the 53rd minute of play. Andres Ignatius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lázaro Bernal in the 55th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the game, Belgrano de Pibasog's Yan Chong Yue nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vladimiro Pirro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Andres Ignatius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lázaro Bernal in the 63rd minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Real Academia Serengetti's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo Azevedo came free, but Vladimiro Pirro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Belgrano de Pibasog's Evaristo Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vladimiro Pirro made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Venancio Mergildo sent off a good shot on target. Yan Chong Yue hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Belgrano de Pibasog's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
