When Luciano Giro fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Batán's protests and gave Luciano Giro a yellow card for diving instead. Luciano Giro kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind AC Batán's goalkeeper Carolo Lluis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alfredo Poncio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agustin Marquez having to interfere. A throw-in in the 28th minute of the game was made by Matias Quiroga with Timoteo Etxahun as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The supporters of El Stradivarius booed when AC Batán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Francisco Martín Callens Asín didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pablo Tonio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carolo Lluis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Agustin Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidio Orland in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Horacio Gonsalve hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute of the game Luciano Giro made a throw-in which Timoteo Etxahun played forward. Agustin Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Poncio in the 44th minute of the match. After 45 played minutes El Stradivarius got a freekick which was hit by Clodoveo Iago. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Pablo Tonio managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Stradivarius's supporters rose to their feet, but Pablo Tonio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carolo Lluis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benedicto Claude to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes El Stradivarius got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Tonio. Aaron Leheren's late challenge caught a AC Batán's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aaron Leheren helped the player get up and apologised. In the 59th match minute, El Stradivarius was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Leheren to maneuver through the defense. Benedicto Claude sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 63 minutes into the game, Moises Sauveur was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Stradivarius's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC Batán the free kick. A collision led to El Stradivarius getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Moises Sauveur hit a great ball. El Stradivarius's Moises Sauveur got his second yellow card of the match in the 65th minute. The referee ordered Moises Sauveur off the ground. AC Batán made a substitution. Cirilo Gelacio replaced Denis Hurko. After a rather tough play, El Stradivarius's Moises Sauveur got a free kick in the 66th minute. After 73 played minutes AC Batán got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Giro. Agustin Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ovidio Orland in the 75th minute of the match. If Leo Errapel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. El Stradivarius's Agustin Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedicto Claude in the 82nd minute of play. Luciano Giro made in the 84th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Timoteo Etxahun however managed to control. In the 88th minute Alfredo Poncio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Marquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Camilo Incendio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
