Benicio Gaitan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Artemio Tibalt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 16 minute of play. Edgard Quintan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benicio Gaitan came out and tried to block the shot, but Edgard Quintan slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 21st minute. In the 24th minute Godfredo Gabon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Desiderio Endura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Catarinense F.C. booed when SOUTH THUNDER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Tibalt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute of the match Romeo Osorio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Desiderio Endura skillfully saved the ball. Catarinense F.C.'s Benicio Gaitan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Tibalt in the 32nd minute of play. After 33 played minutes Catarinense F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Perutxo. Benicio Gaitan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zeledon Teofilio went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Benicio Gaitan made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Edgard Quintan sent off a good shot on target. 40 minutes into the match, Catarinense F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Artemio Tibalt came free, but Benicio Gaitan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Edgard Quintan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benicio Gaitan. Edgard Quintan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. 47 minutes into the match, Catarinense F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Artemio Tibalt came free, but Benicio Gaitan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Godfredo Gabon made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zacarias Bento got free with Desiderio Endura in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benicio Gaitan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Tibalt in the 55th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Edgard Quintan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benicio Gaitan was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Catarinense F.C.'s Benicio Gaitan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Tibalt in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Artemio Tibalt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Benicio Gaitan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
