The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Chacarita Jrs's Fernando Cefero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Chacarita Jrs from getting a goal against them. In the 6th minute of the match Candelaria FC got a corner. Chacarita Jrs's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nunez Gartzea ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 6th minute, Filomeno Fiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Guido Koldobika had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Candelaria FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Dionisio Santiago hit a great ball. Aldo Ekain hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute, Arturo Berart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chacarita Jrs's Fernando Cefero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nunez Gartzea in the 19th minute of play. If Eusebio Perico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guido Koldobika got free with Fernando Cefero in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29th minute Guido Koldobika shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Cefero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Candelaria FC's Guido Koldobika got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fernando Cefero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Perico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guido Koldobika received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Fernando Cefero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guido Koldobika fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Cefero having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Aldo Ekain made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Eusebio Perico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angelo Ciano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Filomeno Fiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 59 played minutes Chacarita Jrs got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Urbez. Eusebio Perico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Fernando Cefero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aldo Ekain got free with Fernan Ibon in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aldo Ekain could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Fernan Ibon made a huge save. Guido Koldobika received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Fernando Cefero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernan Ibon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldo Ekain, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The Chacarita Jrs players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Candelaria FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
