The supporters of Yalapa booed when Regresado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Acuña didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luciano Salvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andres Peru kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After 12 played minutes Regresado got a freekick which was hit by Ramiro Cebrian. If Vicente Abaunza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yalapa's Constantino Elija proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Yalapa from getting a goal against them. Erasmo Theodore hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. When Leandro Urbes fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yalapa's protests and gave Leandro Urbes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Yalapa getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Leandro Urbes hit a great ball. Ismael Acuña was shown his second yellow card after 25 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 26th match minute, Regresado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Acuña to maneuver through the defense. When Ramiro Cebrian fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Regresado's protests and gave Ramiro Cebrian a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, Ramiro Cebrian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 28 played minutes, Yalapa's Luisito Atauri shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leonides Quintyn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Yalapa reached it. In the 31st minute, Evelio Kelemen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute of the match Luisito Atauri shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonides Quintyn showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Yalapa's goal looked a bit too open when Ramiro Cebrian came free, but Constantino Elija reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zacarias Escobar succeeded in the game's 35th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. 38 minutes into the game, Evelio Kelemen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Regresado's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yalapa the free kick.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zacarias Escobar in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Constantino Elija saved Yalapa from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Andres Peru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonides Quintyn was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Constantino Elija stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marciano Herena's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Constantino Elija made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Escobar in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd match minute, Regresado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Segundo Bidun to maneuver through the defense. Regresado's Leonides Quintyn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Regresado from getting a goal against them. Constantino Elija didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zacarias Escobar went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Zacarias Escobar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enzo Astrada kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Yalapa's Luisito Atauri couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 87th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Regresado. Leonides Quintyn made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Luisito Atauri sent off a good shot on target. When Zacarias Escobar came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Regresado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zacarias Escobar couldn't finish the play. 93 minutes into the game, Leonides Gutxi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yalapa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Regresado the free kick. In the 95th minute of the match Segundo Bidun shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Constantino Elija showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Regresado fans cheered their team off the field, for while Yalapa had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
