Constantino Elija showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvio Odilon, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Silvio Eusko took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Constantino Elija. Constantino Elija dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 26 minutes of play C.A Vientos Huracanados's Leo Orlandus was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Leo Orlandus hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Yalapa defense, Higinio Cesaro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Constantino Elija. The Yalapa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Constantino Elija should have stopped the shot. Marcos Rioja struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Constantino Elija didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A Vientos Huracanados. Constantino Elija made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvio Eusko in the 35th minute of play. After 35 played minutes Yalapa got a freekick which was hit by Erasmo Theodore. Silvio Eusko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Constantino Elija tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Yalapa players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. C.A Vientos Huracanados were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andres Peru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. C.A Vientos Huracanados's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvio Odilon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Constantino Elija breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Silvio Odilon hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match.
