After having played for 11 minutes, Marciano Herena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Regresado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marciano Herena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vicente Abaunza charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vicente Abaunza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Riesgo Cero booed when Regresado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Abaunza didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Lia in the 16th minute of play forced Regresado's goalkeeper Leonides Quintyn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Regresado defense, Prudencio Rolado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonides Quintyn. The Regresado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonides Quintyn should have stopped the shot. After 23 played minutes Riesgo Cero got a freekick which was hit by Victorio Eliu. A collision led to Riesgo Cero getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Clodoveo Pacho hit a great ball. Benicio Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Abaunza in the 29th minute of play. Enzo Astrada hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Vicente Abaunza got his second yellow card in the match during the 34th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Regresado getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Vicente Abaunza hit a great ball. The long shot by Dante Roderigo in the 39th minute really tested Leonides Quintyn's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Lia in the 40th minute of play forced Regresado's goalkeeper Leonides Quintyn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonides Quintyn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Lia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Prudencio Rolado succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 46th playminute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diego Lia was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Diego Lia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Quintyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Regresado's goal looked a bit too open when Prudencio Rolado came free, but Leonides Quintyn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 64 played minutes Regresado got a freekick which was hit by Enzo Astrada. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Anselmo Nerio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Riesgo Cero's supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo Nerio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonides Quintyn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Prudencio Rolado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Lia in the 72nd minute of play forced Regresado's goalkeeper Leonides Quintyn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Regresado's Ramiro Cebrian got a free kick in the 78th minute. Prudencio Rolado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonides Quintyn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. In the 83rd match minute, Riesgo Cero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Micael to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Riesgo Cero had won after a very even match.
