Guido Shantala started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute Tiburcio Salvadore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Gipuzkoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nemesio Dimas's late challenge caught a Ruquense FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nemesio Dimas helped the player get up and apologised. The audience held their breath when Tiburcio Salvadore in the 9th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Everardo Gipuzkoa's left hand side. Atlético Montserrat's Everardo Gipuzkoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anier Txurio in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Clodio in the 12th minute of play forced Atlético Montserrat's goalkeeper Everardo Gipuzkoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anier Txurio took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Everardo Gipuzkoa. Everardo Gipuzkoa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Ruquense FC's Anier Txurio got a free kick in the 17th minute. After 47 minutes, Diego Malvin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Montserrat and the Ruquense FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aquilino Garci was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Montserrat's zone, Lucas Clodio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Everardo Gipuzkoa came out of the goal and Lucas Clodio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 54th minute Anier Txurio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Gipuzkoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolas Berasko might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teodosio Abeita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guido Shantala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Teodosio Abeita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th match minute, Atlético Montserrat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Ted to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes into the match, Aquilino Garci notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Atlético Montserrat's Everardo Gipuzkoa. Everardo Gipuzkoa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded Ruquense FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Atlético Montserrat.
