A collision led to C.A. Línea Rotativa getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Eustaquio Herrera hit a great ball. In the 27th minute Eustaquio Herrera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Timo!'s Franco Colapinto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carmelo Acevedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Artemio Raphael hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, C.A. Línea Rotativa's Filiberto Atauri got a free kick in the 38th minute. Warner Timo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carmelo Acevedo. C.A. Línea Rotativa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Timo! booed when C.A. Línea Rotativa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Placido Sotil didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Ilixo in the 46th minute of play forced C.A. Línea Rotativa's goalkeeper Carmelo Acevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
