Spectators: 146 (Terracing: 110, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 2) Aldo Montrell started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Igor Dalmu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anacleto Clementi in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Mingo Torrente left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Newells Old Boys fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Aldo Montrell fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored O rey Iván's protests and gave Aldo Montrell a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th minute, Aldo Montrell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Igor Dalmu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mingo Torrente in the 17th minute of the match. Alberto Txurio was a little too slow when Cesar Azeari got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 1-1. Aldo Montrell was shown his second yellow card after 34 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Igor Dalmu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mingo Torrente, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Igor Dalmu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mingo Torrente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute Anacleto Clementi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Dalmu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Mingo Torrente notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of O rey Iván's Igor Dalmu. Igor Dalmu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The O rey Iván players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Newells Old Boys were winning 1-2.

51 minutes into the game, Nestor Tabb threw the ball into play from the sideline. O rey Iván's Aurelio Paio quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. O rey Iván's attentive Aurelio Paio managed to snatch the ball when Nestor Tabb made a throw-in in the 59th minute of the game. 59 minutes into the game, Aurelio Paio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. O rey Iván's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Newells Old Boys the free kick. The supporters of Newells Old Boys booed when O rey Iván was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Paio didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was a penalty for Newells Old Boys! The referee gave O rey Iván a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Isaac Txartiko, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Newells Old Boys's Alberto Txurio. 2-3. After 73 minutes of play, Newells Old Boys's Mingo Torrente made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Igor Dalmu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Isaac Txartiko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Alberto Txurio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 79 minutes, Igor Dalmu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Remir during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to O rey Iván getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Miguel Remir hit a great ball. 84 minutes into the match, Mingo Torrente sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Igor Dalmu threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Mingo Torrente this time. Igor Dalmu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mingo Torrente showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-5 in the 88 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Mingo Torrente took a quick shot and it went in 2-6 without a chance for Igor Dalmu to make any attempt to save it. With an all-out effort, Newells Old Boys's Igor Dalmu threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mingo Torrente, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
