Spectators: 145 (Terracing: 110, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Guillermo Ovando started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes Stat Veritas FC got a freekick which was hit by Roque Goizeder. When Emanuel Llorienzo fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Newells Old Boys's protests and gave Emanuel Llorienzo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th match minute, Newells Old Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Llorienzo to maneuver through the defense. Silvestre Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Tabb in the 9th minute of the match. Guillermo Ovando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Amador Urti fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Newells Old Boys's protests and gave Amador Urti a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Stat Veritas FC booed when Newells Old Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amador Urti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ubaldo Silvanito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Adrio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Stat Veritas FC's Julian Adrio in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Newells Old Boys's goalie prevented a goal. Ubaldo Silvanito came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Stat Veritas FC's Julian Adrio. But to his dismay, Julian Adrio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Stat Veritas FC booed when Newells Old Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Ovando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Newells Old Boys's Guillermo Ovando got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute Julian Adrio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Silvanito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Julian Adrio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ubaldo Silvanito was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Adrio to strike the kick off in the second half. The Stat Veritas FC fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Stat Veritas FC's Julian Adrio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With his leg Ubaldo Silvanito managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Stat Veritas FC's Julian Adrio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 65 minutes into the match, Guillermo Ovando notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Stat Veritas FC's Silvestre Fernandez. Silvestre Fernandez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ubaldo Silvanito was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Cristobal Frances. 72 minutes into the match, Guillermo Ovando notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Stat Veritas FC's Silvestre Fernandez. Silvestre Fernandez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 76th minute, Guillermo Ovando made a precise shot to the right of Silvestre Fernandez. Stat Veritas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Silvestre Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amador Urti, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After a rather tough play, Stat Veritas FC's Amadeo Frantzes got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Ubaldo Silvanito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Adrio in the 94th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Stat Veritas FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Newells Old Boys.
