Jonas Orlin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacobo Olivar, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Lanus's zone, Julian Afonso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Astor Teofilio came out of the goal and Julian Afonso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonas Orlin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gervasio Santiago in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute, Club Atletico Lanus's Denis Salvidor dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. After 28 played minutes Club Atletico Lanus got a freekick which was hit by Gervasio Santiago. After 30 played minutes Rincón got a freekick which was hit by Edelmiro Romero. Jonas Orlin made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Anacleto Eguerdi sent off a good shot on target. Club Atletico Lanus's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Anacleto Eguerdi in the 32nd minute. When Paulino Benat fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atletico Lanus's protests and gave Paulino Benat a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Lanus's Paulino Benat got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Julian Afonso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julian Afonso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astor Teofilio having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Rincón's goalkeeper Jonas Orlin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Honorio Pinto. After 47 minutes, Eduardo Rexino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rincón and the Club Atletico Lanus players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th match minute, Rincón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Rexino to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

When Gervasio Santiago came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Club Atletico Lanus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gervasio Santiago couldn't finish the play. Jonas Orlin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Salvidor in the 53rd minute of play. Geronimo Abascal's late challenge caught a Rincón's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geronimo Abascal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th minute, Geronimo Abascal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 66 minutes, Honorio Pinto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atletico Lanus and the Rincón players grew even worse after the yellow card. 73 minutes in the game, Julian Afonso fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Astor Teofilio having to interfere. 75 minutes into the game, Club Atletico Lanus's Denis Salvidor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonas Orlin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Edelmiro Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 84th minute Honorio Pinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Orlin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 84 played minutes Rincón got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Dominix. Rincón's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Denis Salvidor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1.
