The audience was convinced that Milton Friedman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Simon Ritchie was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Milton Friedman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Papillon AC's Eugenio Gartxot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Iliana in the 11th minute of play. Papillon AC's Milton Friedman got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 29 minutes into the game, Rosendo Emmanuel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. lןןl MONTE CHINGOLO fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Papillon AC the free kick. 31 minutes into the match, Sebastian Driussi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simon Ritchie. lןןl MONTE CHINGOLO fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastian Driussi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Milton Friedman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Papillon AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Milton Friedman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Ritchie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eugenio Gartxot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Iliana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gaspar Montel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Benjamin Iliana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eugenio Gartxot was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. 47 minutes into the game, lןןl MONTE CHINGOLO fc's Gaspar Montel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eugenio Gartxot made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Olli-Pekka Suoste to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in lןןl MONTE CHINGOLO fc's zone, Sebastian Driussi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simon Ritchie came out of the goal and Sebastian Driussi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaspar Oinatz in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simon Ritchie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Papillon AC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Benjamin Iliana scored to the left of an out of position Eugenio Gartxot, making the score, 1-2. When lןןl MONTE CHINGOLO fc's Benjamin Iliana in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Papillon AC's goalie prevented a goal. When Damaso Enekoitz came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the lןןl MONTE CHINGOLO fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damaso Enekoitz couldn't finish the play. Efrain Bembe hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After having played for 75 minutes, Tobias Abalos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. lןןl MONTE CHINGOLO fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tobias Abalos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the lןןl MONTE CHINGOLO fc defense, Olli-Pekka Suoste kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Simon Ritchie. The lןןl MONTE CHINGOLO fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simon Ritchie should have stopped the shot. In the 81st minute Tobias Abalos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Gartxot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, lןןl MONTE CHINGOLO fc's Gaspar Montel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eugenio Gartxot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A hard shot 85 in the game by Benjamin Iliana from a close distance when the talented Eugenio Gartxot managed to make a qualified save. Papillon AC's players were relieved. Simon Ritchie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milton Friedman in the 86th minute of play. Papillon AC's Eugenio Gartxot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Papillon AC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Papillon AC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Olli-Pekka Suoste hit a great ball. In the 95th of the match, Benjamin Iliana tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Eugenio Gartxot got in the way and made a wonderful save. Tobias Abalos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
