The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lázaro Librado helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Newpi Academy getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Lázaro Librado hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Victoriano Burutzagi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diego Hori could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Benji Price made a huge save. After having played for 21 minutes, Agustin Nel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El ABUELO FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustin Nel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Newpi Academy booed when El ABUELO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flaco Schiavi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benji Price showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Hori, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Marciano Lertxun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juninho Pernambucano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marciano Lertxun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juninho Pernambucano in the 35th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Newpi Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Etxekopar came free, but Benji Price reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Newpi Academy's Benji Price proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Newpi Academy from getting a goal against them. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juninho Pernambucano was the one to do the kick off. If Diego Hori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aaron Dimas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Benji Price tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, El ABUELO FC's Serafin Eskuin got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 65 minutes into the match, El ABUELO FC's goalkeeper Marciano Lertxun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximiliano Santiago. After a rather tough play, Newpi Academy's Maximino Eguerdi got a free kick in the 67th minute. A collision led to El ABUELO FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Diego Hori hit a great ball. The referee gave Lázaro Librado a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Lázaro Librado kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Diego Hori recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th match minute, El ABUELO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergio Txurio to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle sounded Newpi Academy left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than El ABUELO FC.
