Aquilino Txartiko ran back to his position shaking his head. Aquilino Txartiko took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Filomeno Atarrabi. Filomeno Atarrabi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Filomeno Atarrabi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquilino Txartiko in the 33rd minute of play. alvarado's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Abel Bordat in the 34th minute. Filomeno Atarrabi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Bordat in the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, Luciano Pacifico cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Filomeno Atarrabi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Clinton Rushing hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Aquilino Txartiko managed to get in a good position for a shot. alvarado's supporters rose to their feet, but Aquilino Txartiko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filomeno Atarrabi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Abel Bordat made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to A.D Atlético Villa Gesell getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Rollo Kildemose hit a great ball. 54 minutes into the match, Abel Bordat sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Filomeno Atarrabi threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Abel Bordat this time. alvarado's Aquilino Txartiko got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the A.D Atlético Villa Gesell defense, Abel Bordat kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filomeno Atarrabi. The A.D Atlético Villa Gesell fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filomeno Atarrabi should have stopped the shot. Reynaldo Pereyra hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match.
