Aarón Anselmino hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Club Atletico Rio Tercero's Andres Salamon was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Amadeo Jatsu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Moises Mancio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Jatsu having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Edinson Cavani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abuba Akotonon FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Edinson Cavani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evaristo Duardo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Moises Mancio hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the game, Abuba Akotonon FC's Virgilio Corderall nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Evaristo Duardo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 33 minutes, Benicio Rito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atletico Rio Tercero and the Abuba Akotonon FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 33 played minutes Club Atletico Rio Tercero got a freekick which was hit by Benicio Rito. In the 34th minute, Virgilio Corderall left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Abuba Akotonon FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Club Atletico Rio Tercero's Evaristo Duardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aarón Anselmino in the 39th minute of play. Gabriel Ostargi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Duardo having to interfere.

In the 52nd minute Edinson Cavani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Duardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Club Atletico Rio Tercero defense, Aarón Anselmino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Evaristo Duardo. The Club Atletico Rio Tercero fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Evaristo Duardo should have stopped the shot. Generoso Maore hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. The supporters of Abuba Akotonon FC booed when Club Atletico Rio Tercero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Generoso Maore didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evaristo Duardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Merentiel in the 77th minute of play. Club Atletico Rio Tercero's Evaristo Duardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Corderall in the 83rd minute of play.
