The supporters of Abuba Akotonon FC booed when Belgrano LOS PIRATAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Furman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Damián Martínez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edinson Cavani in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th match minute, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cecilio Heli to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Abuba Akotonon FC's Damián Martínez threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edinson Cavani, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd rose to their feet as Abuba Akotonon FC's Miguel Merentiel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Damián Martínez. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Damián Martínez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Belgrano LOS PIRATAS from getting a goal against them. 18 minutes into the match, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's goal looked a bit too open when Edinson Cavani came free, but Damián Martínez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Octavio Paskal fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's protests and gave Octavio Paskal a yellow card for diving instead. Virgilio Corderall could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Damián Martínez made a huge save. But to his dismay, Virgilio Corderall quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Alejo Elizardo kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Damián Martínez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Merentiel in the 34th minute of play. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Damián Martínez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Belgrano LOS PIRATAS from getting a goal against them. 40 minutes into the game, Abuba Akotonon FC's Miguel Merentiel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Damián Martínez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. 44 minutes into the game, Nicolás Valentini threw the ball into play from the sideline. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Conrado Isaio quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alejo Elizardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Miguel Merentiel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damián Martínez having to interfere. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Damián Martínez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aarón Anselmino in the 61st minute of play. Nicolás Valentini made in the 68th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Gabriel Ostargi however managed to control. Virgilio Corderall took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Damián Martínez. Damián Martínez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. 73 minutes into the match, Virgilio Corderall had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Damián Martínez. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Virgilio Corderall was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. After a defensive mix-up in Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's zone, Miguel Merentiel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damián Martínez came out of the goal and Miguel Merentiel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Belgrano LOS PIRATAS defense, Paulino Lizardi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damián Martínez. The Belgrano LOS PIRATAS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damián Martínez should have stopped the shot. If Miguel Merentiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Belgrano LOS PIRATAS getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Cecilio Heli hit a great ball. Abuba Akotonon FC's Titan Palermo was substituted for Edinson Cavani. In the 90th minute Titan Palermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damián Martínez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolás Valentini's late challenge caught a Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolás Valentini helped the player get up and apologised. Abuba Akotonon FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
