The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th match minute, Sarmiento de Resistencia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basilio Mateus to maneuver through the defense. Benigno Manilan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geronimo Satordi in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sotiris Vergos in the 16th minute of play forced Sarmiento de Resistencia's goalkeeper Benigno Manilan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Sarmiento de Resistencia's goal looked a bit too open when Gualterio Quexal came free, but Benigno Manilan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Sarmiento de Resistencia's goal looked a bit too open when Sotiris Vergos came free, but Benigno Manilan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benigno Manilan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eulalio Tonete, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute, Siro Elazar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gualterio Quexal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gualterio Quexal took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benigno Manilan. Benigno Manilan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Eusebio Fertus kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Sotiris Vergos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sarmiento de Resistencia's Benigno Manilan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sotiris Vergos in the 45th minute of play. Benigno Manilan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sotiris Vergos in the 48th minute of play.

Basilio Mateus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Iigo having to interfere. Sotiris Vergos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Benigno Manilan made a huge save. Benigno Manilan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sotiris Vergos in the 58th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sotiris Vergos in the 60th minute of play forced Sarmiento de Resistencia's goalkeeper Benigno Manilan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benigno Manilan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sotiris Vergos, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Sarmiento de Resistencia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Sotiris Vergos scored to the left of an out of position Benigno Manilan, making the score, 0-2. In the 77th minute, Geronimo Satordi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 79th minute, Sotiris Vergos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benigno Manilan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 90th match minute, Sarmiento de Resistencia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernan Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. Branco FC played a much better game than Sarmiento de Resistencia and deserved their victory. The Sarmiento de Resistencia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
