Prospero Oriche's late challenge caught a AZURDUY F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Prospero Oriche helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th minute, Amador Hitzeder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Chuan in the 15th minute of play forced Talleres's goalkeeper Albino Nofre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Talleres's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Chuan came free, but Albino Nofre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of AZURDUY F.C. booed when Talleres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Diaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the game, AZURDUY F.C.'s Cipriano Chuan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Albino Nofre made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A hard shot 31 in the game by Ariel Burko from a close distance when the talented Maximino Millan managed to make a qualified save. AZURDUY F.C.'s players were relieved. Amador Hitzeder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Talleres getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Luciano Gipuzkoa hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cirilo Martinez in the 38th minute of play forced Talleres's goalkeeper Albino Nofre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 45 minutes, Cipriano Chuan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AZURDUY F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Cipriano Chuan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ariel Burko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the AZURDUY F.C. defense, Ariel Burko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximino Millan. The AZURDUY F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximino Millan should have stopped the shot. When Luciano Gipuzkoa came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Talleres fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luciano Gipuzkoa couldn't finish the play. In the 70th minute, Ariel Burko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maximino Millan was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. With a little luck, Talleres's Albino Nofre got control of the ball when Saverio Louis tried to sneak it across the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Saverio Louis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Albino Nofre. Talleres's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Saverio Louis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Maximino Millan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Burko in the 78th minute of play. A collision led to AZURDUY F.C. getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Roque Reno hit a great ball. AZURDUY F.C.'s Maximino Millan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Burko in the 81st minute of play. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by AZURDUY F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fernando Laurgain was slow to take the kick. During this time Talleres's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Fernando Laurgain almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AZURDUY F.C.'s Maximino Millan did a great save. In the 86th minute, AZURDUY F.C.'s Saverio Louis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Albino Nofre. Albino Nofre yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-3. Saverio Louis kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Cipriano Chuan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Adolfo Diaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the AZURDUY F.C. players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
