Yala's Jorge Nesor was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Amancio Orti in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 37 minutes into the match, Pingos Futbol Club's goalkeeper Amancio Orti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Omar Montes. After a defensive mix-up in Pingos Futbol Club's zone, Niki Bundev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amancio Orti came out of the goal and Niki Bundev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amancio Orti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Montes, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Amancio Orti had great luck who in the 43rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Omar Montes from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Hipolito Francesco hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Omar Montes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amancio Orti having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Omar Montes to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Omar Montes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amancio Orti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Nesor was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 54th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Hipolito Francesco hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. If Omar Montes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Amancio Orti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Montes in the 64th minute of the match. After having played for 65 minutes, Hipolito Francesco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pingos Futbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hipolito Francesco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Honorato Ihintza made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Roberto Luar sent off a good shot on target. In the 68th match minute, Pingos Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Mel to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute of the match Jorge Nesor sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amancio Orti skillfully saved the ball. Amancio Orti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teo Gau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th match minute, Pingos Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uriel Conrao to maneuver through the defense. Jorge Nesor missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 82 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Amancio Orti right hand side. Amancio Orti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Erramu in the 84th minute of the match. Amancio Orti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Erramu in the 85th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Omar Montes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yala fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 96th minute, Norberto Erramu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
