When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guillermo Manilan made a kick off. Carlos Germano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Balogh, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The supporters of Club Deportivo Álvarez booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Germano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Alcântara in the 84th minute of play. After 85 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Elpidio Shantala. Club Deportivo Álvarez made a substitution. Baltasar Ladio replaced Bebur Levidze. In the 87th match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Shantala to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Balogh in the 90th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Carlos Germano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Germano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Manilan in the 92nd minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Club Atlético Atlanta players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Deportivo Álvarez.
