Delmiro Hermelando's late challenge caught a San Martin de Tucuman's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Delmiro Hermelando helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Bresikas getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Delmiro Hermelando hit a great ball. After 18 minutes of play, San Martin de Tucuman's Flavio Blai made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 30th minute Amadeo Vincent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Ado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Luciano Savion recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rogelio Clodio. Luciano Savion showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. In the 36thth minute of the game Amadeo Vincent who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bresikas's Erasmo Ado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Bresikas's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeo Vincent came free, but Erasmo Ado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Amadeo Vincent's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erasmo Ado was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amadeo Vincent in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erasmo Ado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. San Martin de Tucuman's Rogelio Clodio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafin Fernandes in the 59th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mario Chaime during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
