In the 12th minute of the match Astor Kepa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benigno Guillem skillfully saved the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Fulgencio Berto notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of San Martin de Tucuman's Rogelio Clodio. Rogelio Clodio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Victoriano Sazon fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Candela FC's protests and gave Victoriano Sazon a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to La Candela FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Victoriano Sazon hit a great ball. Blas Oxarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as La Candela FC's Fulgencio Berto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rogelio Clodio. That made the score 3-0 after 34 minutes of play. After 42 minutes, Generoso Gaskon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Candela FC and the San Martin de Tucuman players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of San Martin de Tucuman booed when La Candela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Generoso Gaskon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute of the match Amadeo Vincent sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benigno Guillem skillfully saved the ball.
